Liberty Music Program

Liberty Music Program

Liberty Music Program(LMP) began in 2013 initially as a Community Arts Tokyo Program and since then has been taken on by Ishinomaki Christian Center. The goal of the program is that through music children would dare to dream. Our hope is that the children will know that they are deeply loved, and be encouraged and healed through music. The program offers music lessons and classes, professional workshops, and events such as a gospel music festival.

Gospel Worship

LMP started hosting Gospel Workshops at various schools and community venues since 2013. This included a dance lesson, a classical music concert, and a lesson on singing Black Gospel music. Up to date, more than 250??? of local students have been reached through lessons, choirs and workshops and more than XX number of schools participated the program.

LMP Music Lessons

Stemmed out from LMP Middle School Program, the program has evolved to personal individual lessons to develop closer outreach relationships and greater impact through teaching bass, drums guitar, piano and ukulele lessons to local school students at home or ICC building. In doing so, we are able to invest in the long term development of the next generation.

Music Events

Each year LMP reach out to local community and church members through musical events, gospel workshop and concerts.

Kids Choir

Liberty Kids Choir started with the help of Sendai Singer songwriter, Kaori Omiya for children from age 3 to 12. They gather bi-weekly at a local community center, to enjoy games and learning songs and music together. This space creates an opportunity for ICC staff to invest long term in the next generation. The children performed with Kaori Omiya at the Gospel festivals in Sendai and in Ishinomaki, as well as in Christmas events.

Worship Night

LMP coordinates worship nights for local churches to gather and worship God together as one body through praise, music and prayers.
